Firstly, a bit of a debacle has opened up on Planet Calypso Forum.

Although it would get an Oscar it is likely that only the vocal would have contributed to it's cross-play.

I'm been starting to pick up on that "wave theory". Was wondering if loot is assigned on-creature-spawn, or on-creature-death. I'm leaning towards on-death. I believe someone would need insider access to know 100% for sure, but we can make educated guesses based on trend and pattern recognition. A good overall time to hunt or mine seems to be when we see the crafting HOFs spamming the screens. If I was MA though, I would populate loot on-spawn, but thats just me.

I've never bought into any theory substantially as it's discussed in a market.

One of the things I would have done if I was trying to maintain Dynamics, is that the HP of the mob affects the base value, but the weapons determine which pot the loot roll approaches (net use and cleared volume). 

I've had times on Rocktropia where it looks like their "planet specific loot" element is disabled, meaning 50% standard, until the local global or hof including planet specific items (might even profit using this method or continuing until local ped clearance).

In this respect I'd have rolled the mob during it's death, measured against it's individual chance to hit, the weapon used (it's affinity pot) and also the session time for interaction with that mob (10s kills vs 20s kills - same mob)

Also, sometimes the decay on an amp like a Beast favours a long hunt with a repair instead of a half-amp run, other times it's the half amp run that nets a 100%+ return on ped spent, followed by a reduction.

The amp is added to the cost of the weapon and only affects the session time on mobs, meaning the timing is more important than ever - Too predictable - shifting times - needs a large sample and higher risk of loss for an individual to notice, groups win.

Seeing as this is a thread from 1.5 years ago, I am assuming people don't remember exactly what was in that one. Since the thread being reffered to spawns every so often on the PCF forum. When a thread is over 6 months old, just leave it where it is :) Dead :)

I would agree on the loot calculated on looting based on the amount of times it takes a second or two to generate some of the loot.  However, it seems to me that since the party loot is based on participation it would have to be split from something that was already generated.  What are your thoughts.  I know it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things, but inquiring minds want to know.

The time taken to generate the loot is most likely lag due to loading of loot images
