I have been working for GMC for about a month now. It is a great concept and I think worth a mention on these forums as some of you might be interested. Basically GMC provides probes, finders(according to your prof ranks) and rippers for mining runs (normally 200 ped runs once you get past the three training runs) but all your finds belong to them. All your runs gets tallied up and if in total you are in profit you can withdraw(after cycling a minimum of 1000 peds). 50% of profit is yours. There are some basic rules. You are required to provide a 200 Ped deposit to start. This deposit remains yours despite your performance. You MUST use LBML for your mining runs. The owner of GMC, Neil Greenleaf Stockton will show you the ropes regarding LBML and explain the basic mining principals to you. http://greenleafmining.com/FAQ/index.html for a list of all the rules and FAQs This is not easy or free peds but an opportunity at unlimited mining for a 200 Ped deposit. It is ideal for people interested in mining and willing to work at it. It takes patience, time and hard work. I only hit my first hof after 6k peds cycled which took me 2 weeks plus of mining. You can find the official site here --> http://greenleafmining.com/index.php A more in depth explanation of the rules, LBLM setup guides and an application form can all be found at the top right hand side menu. I'd like to share my experience of GMC too.
After reading a post in EP forum about greenleaf concept, I gave it a look on the site. I applied, and got contacted within 2 hours. Greenleaf taught me basics about mining, and gave me 3 training run to let me setup LBML tool. At this time, I cycled about 1k ped, and I made some sick skill. It's a great experience for people who can't afford to pay themselves if they make a bad run. With GMC, you deposit once 200 ped (that you can get back anytime if you leave). And you can cycle ped really fast. Great organization really.

So you pay them 200 PEDs and you gain nothing except maybe skills? Doesn't seems as good deal to me.

You don't pay. You deposit 200 ped, so they can trust you to give you 200 ped worth of probe. And if you want to stop anytime, they give your 200 ped back.
Free skill, and if you get positiv run, you get 50% of the profit. No risk, no fear of loss. I like the way it's made. :)

OK, with 50% profit it makes more sence now :)
But I don't have to think about it, I have exactly 0.00 and 275 shots, so I am thinking where is most chance to hit good global on first shot! :) But if I will earn something, I will keep it in mind. I wonder that people don't cheat. (Though I don't know what is the tool you need to use when mine whith them). 6k PEDs is good enough to lose 200. And EU has good player base, but also good amount of scamers.

That's why the 200 ped deposit is there. To try and keep scammers out. I am sure you will still get the occasional asshole though.

So, I put up 200 ped, they provide me with the probes and the tools to mine and I turn over everything I dig out of the ground to them. If I hit paydirt I get half the profit, if I crap out, they eat the loss?
I don't see how one can lose on this deal really. do you have to mine where and how they tell you or can yo udo your own runs? sluggo |

As I have grown older, I have learned that pleasing everyone is an impossible task. Making them mad now, is a piece of cake :)

Yep. If you constantly have bad runs they will take a look at your runs and try to help you improve your technique. At some point they will let you go I am sure, in the past Neil had to fire people where they tried to skim ore from the top or scam them. Scammers also don't get their deposit back which in my opinion is fair. He knows how it works and understands that some runs are crap.
They have a well planned map. Worked out what the best mu is for your current depth, so they will tell you where to mine and you need to stay within that area. The areas are quite big so you can move around inside it and drop where you want to. Well they would obviously prefer a good technique. Dropping all your probes in one spot would be bad for them and you. Check it out sluggo, it really is a good deal.

Ijust looked into it and yes it does look decent. I think I will give it a run and see how it goes. I like the concept and the skill boost, you can't beat that with a stick.

Yeah, you get assigned an area to mine, as far as I can remember.
You wont regret it: Neil is a stand up guy. He helped me a lot when I started. And the company has been running successfully, people are really pleased with the opportunity. Besides the skills and occasional peds, you will learn a lot about mining from one of the best miners on Arkadia.

Yep, true that. He knows what he is talking about in regards to mining and pretty much any other aspect of entropia I have spoken to him about.

I had 0 skill and knowledge about minig but with some key advice Neil taught me a lit about.
Neil ask you to mine a defined place. And time to time he asks you to use a method of minug but you have a lot of freedom beside the place. It's a win-win organization imo. Feel free to add anarchist as your referral (or me :D) if you apply at GMC. There is no referal system but it should come in the future ! Thanks to GMC i cycled 1k ped in a week. When my pedcard only could afford 300 ped. I really enjoy this as I'm a non depositer. Also. Dont be afraid about the 200 ped deposit. You always have 200 ped worth of probe so even if neil ran away, you can't be stolen. The deposit is just a security for him. |

After 1k ped cycled, I've about -130 ped loss.
But it's no problem for greenleaf, and he hopes it'll correct later on. And for me, it's 0 loss as I don't have to pay for that.

Just keep going :)
The more you skill the deeper you can get hits and the better the chances of finding proper MU ores. At the start you are basically just building up your skills.
