According the GMC website's F.A.Q :
Do I need to mine on Arkadia? If you receive your probes on Arkadia, I expect you to mine Arkadia. We may have mining opportunities on other planets, so ask me if you're interested in travel. It's mostly on arkadia, but might happen on caly, get in touch with Neil for more information.

Hi,
very interesting topic as a miner and a good way to go through the bad mining runs... Do you have such an offer on calypso?

Ill be in game on and off today in Arkadia, at the quarry doing payouts.
Ill be heading to Rock here later probably. Hopefully we can meet up. I would not mining on Rocktopia as well if you have openings for folks there to do that. but again, something to talk about in game in person sluggo |

The way entropia works, long term you won't be able to get out more TT value than you put into hunting, mining or crafting; all of those activities result in a slow decay of TT value (hence the name "entropia" from entropy). We calculate profit as total income (from sale of your ores) minus your total costs (probe use, finder decay, auction fees, etc). That's really the only way to judge "profit" in the game, even though it's a bit more complicated than simply recording "TT returns".
MU makes a huge difference... a deep miner and a shallow miner may both get 95% TT returns but the deep miner could get 15% higher (average) MU per run. Edited by NeilStockton - 07 Dec 2013 at 10:43pm |

So far for me, every profit or loss have been calculed based on MU.

Thank you for the reply neil.
I joined yesterday but fell asleep so will get back in game shortly today here. working 12 hour days is killing me here. one question though. The profit, is that just based on TT or TT plus MU on the ores that there is MU? thank you sluggo. |

Thanks guys for the good summary of how GMC works.
The topic of scammers was mentioned and I just wanted to say a word about that. I've been thoroughly impressed by the honesty and integrity of GMC miners and I think they're the some of the best players you can find in EU. Of course, the opportunity to "earn peds" also draws a few scammers but they get caught and removed pretty quickly. I receive a lot of applications so I just wanted to outline what kind of players we're looking for: smart, reliable, careful with other people's stuff, and able to play regularly. If your computer can't run EU on medium settings you will probably have trouble running the LBML software. Also of course the 200 PED security deposit is a requirement (I get a lot of applicants asking if I will make an exception... the answer is no). If you love mining and exploring the countryside but hate the stacking and selling aspects then GMC could be a great fit. Also, patience is a must... mining is a lot of hours running interrupted by 5 seconds of glorious golden swirls :) Have fun out there! Edited by NeilStockton - 07 Dec 2013 at 7:46pm |

Just keep going :)
The more you skill the deeper you can get hits and the better the chances of finding proper MU ores. At the start you are basically just building up your skills.

After 1k ped cycled, I've about -130 ped loss.
But it's no problem for greenleaf, and he hopes it'll correct later on. And for me, it's 0 loss as I don't have to pay for that.

I already spoke with Greenleaf in game, now just to save peds :)
But it is a long way to Arkadia, so I hope I will get lucky! :)

I had 0 skill and knowledge about minig but with some key advice Neil taught me a lit about.
Neil ask you to mine a defined place. And time to time he asks you to use a method of minug but you have a lot of freedom beside the place. It's a win-win organization imo. Feel free to add anarchist as your referral (or me :D) if you apply at GMC. There is no referal system but it should come in the future ! Thanks to GMC i cycled 1k ped in a week. When my pedcard only could afford 300 ped. I really enjoy this as I'm a non depositer. Also. Dont be afraid about the 200 ped deposit. You always have 200 ped worth of probe so even if neil ran away, you can't be stolen. The deposit is just a security for him. |

Yep, true that. He knows what he is talking about in regards to mining and pretty much any other aspect of entropia I have spoken to him about.
