Hi guys,
I just started to play this game last weekend. I didn't know about its existence before! Now, I'm trying to get more info about the game, but it is a little bit hard to get updated data. I started at Planet Calypso and I accomplished the beginner quests at Half Moon Bay. Then I headed up to CDF Op Alpha and now I just don't know what to do (some mobs are too strong for me). Can anybody help me with some tips or links to know more about questing, etc? Thanks

Best advice I can give you is to get yourself a mentor. You can ask around in rookie channel, or in normal chat channels. Mentors are there to teach you the ways of things, and if you complete the training with the mentor, you get some free stuff including armor.
I think there is also a find mentor button somewhere, but I'm not in game so I don't remember where it is, if it does exist. Hope this helps some MB

Hello Leo,
Welcome to Entropia Universe :). So to hit it off straight away, yes what MirrorBlack said is correct. It's good to look for a good mentor, take your time with this because there are some shabby ones out there. As far as a "mission guide" goes. Sounds like you actually did most of the newbie missions out there. However there is 1 you might have missed, Exactly on the outer side of the water from Halfmoon Bay, so to the North, there is a place called Half moon Cove. This used to be Halfmoon Bay but got changed, however the newbie mission chain from there is still active :). After you have done that, best thing to do is to head over to Camp Icharis. Find a little group and do the Gauntlet 1 and 2 instances (Gauntlet 2 isn't really super needed but Gauntlet 1 is definatly recommended for the free unlimited healing tool at completion). After that is done there is this dude standing on top of the ramp, near the entrance to the auction house at Camp Icharis. He has some missions leading up to an unlimited melee weapon called the Bukin's blade. Also worth doing. For the rest that is about it. For your lvl, being able to do the creatures at Camp Icharis shouldnt be a problem, incase the Cauda's and Berycled's are an issue, try fighting the Tripudions at the beach, when they have the tag "Puny" they are the easiest creatures on Calypso I believe. Hope this helped. Wzzls Waus |

Calypso is the most populated planet, it might always be the most populated planet. Ark is a really strong second with I believe RT and Cyrene competing for third place.
However, personal opinion here off course..... Most populated doesn't mean it's better. I really dislike Calypso BECAUSE it is so populated. The economy is strong on Calypso but that also draws in A LOT of douchebags. This is also mainly because there is a lot of money going around on Calypso, which means greed is a big factor in it as well. Although I have seen it is changing slightly now on Calypso I still think the ratio of friendly helpfull people vs greedy douchebags is to high in favor of the greedy douchebags :P. |

That is why I went from Caly to RT :P
RT has a small community but they are not douchebags |

Nope, but sadly enough the person in charge of RT is a hypocrit who now acts all nice to everyone due to the so called "presidential elections" while a few months ago he was ranting about not wanting to have any newbies on his planet but people with big fat PED cards.

Didn't know ND was like that either. You have a link to any of these rants?
OP: Other tips besides quests and mentors are: 1) Investing in Arkadia Undergroud Deeds, Compet deeds, and Calypso land deeds. Steady stream of income on the first and last (if you can afford to invest that much) that can make playing free as well as act as a good investment in the future. 2) Sweating. If you have the time (or are doing other things online anyway) you can sweat animals at Nea's Place or OLA #42 and sell the sweat at 1.6-2 PED per thousand. BIG industries also has an even everyday on OLA #42 where they buy 1k sweat from 10 players for 2.5 PED per k of sweat. You can find more info on that here: http://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/forums/showthread.php?234043-Sweating-Support-Initiative-l-BIG-Industries&highlight=BIG+industries+SSI 3) Group hunts and events for newbies. One that I know of is one that Gill Greed puts on for newbies, which are announced here on her blog. Free limited weapons and ammo for hunting are available through those, keep an eye on the chat on her website for entry periods. |
