Hello. I was wondering if anyone had some tips for a noob looking to hunt? I hunted (thanks to an outdated guide) daikaba juveniles, to a loss. I can handle L4 and lower mobs pretty easily (i have a sollomate rubio, and a opalo). Any tips on what I should hunt, or where? Thanks a lot in advance for any help :D

honestly my advice is this:
Stick with Daikaba, Puny anything, and Exarosaur's til lvl 5-7ish, then you can do argo's, berycled, up to lvl 10ish. at this point (lvl 10) I started finding the Traeskeron's around my lvl, and hunting them (just backup and shoot, and stay out of their hit range)... I completed the whole Iron Challenge based around them by lvl 22... and got a couple evade lvls in the process. that's just what I did. Also, hit up the missions... there are a few... like the droid one near Oddyseus, that you can kill the jammers in PA, and complete. There is also a rippersnapper one around there, that can be done on smaller rippers near PA. Missions will help immensely lower level. I think actually Ark is more hunter friendly from lower levels... that is just my opinion though.

Alrighty then. So basically hunt, hunt and hunt till I am of higher level, then try to find a profitable mob? Also, what has the best drop rate of ammo at lower levels, diakaba, bercyde (hate those things), or ?

I've been hunting for a good minute, and I'll share some of the things I learned in the process!!!
![]() 1. You should decide which branch of weapon you want to use. Don't switch too often, because you will end up losing in the end. It's best to specialize in one branch to maximize your efficiency as a hunter. Here is a basic rundown on different types of offensive skills: DON'T be a jack of all trades, for he is the master of none. 2. Become familiar with SIB. Here are some SIB charts that will help you get started. Although not the most efficient way to hunt, taking advantage of SIB will greatly increase your rate of skilling. You WILL gain levels much faster, and in turn, you can hunt stronger monsters. Usually, the tougher the hunt, the more loot you will get. 3. When using guns, make sure two have two of them. Your primary weapon should do a lot of damage. Your secondary weapon should do very little. The reason for this is that you DO NOT want to overkill an enemy. That is a waste of money, and VERY inefficient. Why use your strong weapon that costs more to shoot than your weak weapon that costs very little for the same result? Use your primary weapon to nearly kill your enemy, then use your secondary weapon to finish it off. Trust me, you WILL be a more efficient hunter! 4. Now you must choose your enemy type. There are organic creatures and robotic creatures. Organic creatures are more abundant and are the recommended things to hunt. When hunting them, you will slowly gain your Evade Skill which helps you do avoid other organic creatures' attacks. However, evade WILL NOT help you against robotic creatures. Hunting them will yield you a small amount of Dodge Skill. This WILL help you avoid robotic creatures' attacks, but it won't help you avoid organic creatures' attacks. I'd say specialize in one or the other. the more you divide your skills, the more money and time you spend in the end. 5. Get as many hunting quests as possible. Although doing hunting quests are often inefficient, you might end up completing one or two by just hunting. It that case, you will get rewarded for just hunting!!! I don't recommend trying to finish quests unless you only have a few left to kill.Just make sure to get them anyway. 6. Choose if you want to hunt naked or with armor. Hunting naked seems to be the preferred way to hunt at earlier levels, because the decay on armor can become costly. Also, it would be preferred if you have a good grasp of all the concepts I mention here before deciding if you want to use armor. Yes, you can hunt stronger creatures, but the decay most times outweighs the return, but sometimes you get rewarded (rarely at early levels). I'd say hunt the creatures you can kill without armor. You don't have to worry about armor decay, or getting armor sets. IMO, it makes you focus even more on just hunting. 7. Should you get a healing tool (FAP)? Most hunters carry a healing tool. I see this at all levels of hunting. I'll explain the reasoning for this. Without a healing tool, you would have to kill a mob, then rest for a bit to hunt again. This isn't so bad if you are patient. Also, it is very efficient, since there is no healing tool decay. HOWEVER, there WILL be times when a mob will kill you. In this case, you would have to respawn and go back to that location where you died to find the mob that killed you. By then, the mob you were hunting has healed, and now it will cost you more to kill it. Sometimes, other mobs can spawn near you while hunting, and will attack you. It's up to you if you want to use a FAP. They are very cheap at low levels. 8. Do some research about certain mobs. Find out what creatures you should be hunting for your level. You don't want to fight creatures that are too strong, and too weak. Typically, your ideal hunt will be a creature that you can kill without using armor or healing. Once you get a new weapon, try hunting something bigger! 9. LEARN about TT, MU, and the auction House. This is VERY important to learn. Once you get a good grasp of these, you can end up profiting even at low levels! Try not to sell your looted items at the TT. Check the MU value and determine if it's worth the auction fee. The auction house is your best friend, it's there for you, so utilize it! If the AH isn't an option, try to trade with fellow Entropians! Remember, a quick buck will almost always make you lose in the end. Be patient, and you WILL be rewarded. 10. Take advantage of shared loot creatures. These creatures migrate all the time around Calypso. Sometimes you will see many people hunting a shared loot creature. That's when you should join in and hunt them! There are so many getting hunted that, there is a greater chance of getting a global or HoF!!! 11. Good Luck! You're going to need it! Remember this: This game is not a winning game unless you play smart. You won't make any money just playing this game. You have to do your research and play as efficiently as possible. Learning the auction house is big step in profitability. Either way, make a plan and stick with it!

Thanks for the info. Auction house is right within my skill set, being a wow player. My main question is, how do I stay liquid ammo wise?

try not to sell to TT, save up enough to sell to players or (if you save alot) to auction orders or put on auction house (lowish stacks usually sell for above avg MU)

A profitable mob is a myth. If you are hunting, or even mining or crafting, forget about profits. At a higher level you can start gambling for big HOFs. Afterall EU is a casino.

I will +1 vixens on RT (save the gears) and the tiny scoutbots (junk scout bots I think they are called) on cyrene (save the basic targetting chips) are the best noob mobs to hunt
both of these loots have extremely high markup

Lol i didnt write down any formulas! I don't think anyone did! I just gave him tips from my hunting experience that I believe every hunter should know. You can go and just hunt an eco mob, but it all depends on if you are trying to save money, level faster, or just have fun. My tips will basically fulfill all three.

one thing to expand on #8 by alkhazar -- if NOONE is around the mob after you die and are sent to revive (ZERO other green dots) the mob WILL NOT regen until you get back to within radar distance
