That's One Great Flaw

So I had problems with nearly every task (yes, task, not job) they showed me even though I read every set of instructions they showed me. Stuff marked as wrong that clearly wasn't. I mean at one point they failed in taking a ZIP-code with a dash in it as a valid ZIP-code. I opened plenty support tickets and occasionally got the impression that those guys actually intended to understand what I meant. Most of the time it was the fault of "task author". Ever seen auto-generated answers? I got them. Or maybe their AI writing responses is so bad. Who knows... Anyway, nothing helped me as my accuracy still was too low and they didn't think about adjusting my ratings.

At first I saw a page after committing answers to a task where they showed me what was wrong (occasionally they were actually right, BTW). Then they stopped showing me the wrong parts and instantly showed the page with "Your accuracy is too low". Well, I can definitely learn something from that crap.

I mean I just had a job where I had to mark words and alike in images. How dumb can one be to not do that right? Well, apparently that would be me. I got 40% accuracy in the test-task out of it. Would they show me what I missed? No.

In another job they wanted me to collect information about companies such as the annual sales figures. Well, the link for an obviously American company lead to a site that showed that value in Euros. Why that? Because I'm a European (guess what: there are people living outside the USA). CrowdFlower being an American site they definitely don't want Euros (maybe they don't know what Euros are). So I opened a support ticket and that moron on the other end insisted that everybody can do that job totally ignoring the fact that I explained the location issue to him/her more than once.

Don't get me wrong, I did finish a few tasks and maybe in total got something like 3 PEDs out of it. However, I'm still at level 0 and never received anything that would get me a millimetre near level 1.

Oh yeah, and that website is a pain of its own. Hard to use, inconsistent and bugs scattered all around. At one point that support guy actually admitted that he couldn't read the title of the support ticket... Seriously???

However, *drumroll* there is one big plus here: they pay instantly!

Conclusion: That site is a total waste of time and their "support staff" (at least they call themselves that) is a disaster of its own.
