Hello everyone!
I have qualified to get the free Gold Card Security offer for my EU account. I was wondering if any of you guys have also taken the offer and what your experience is with the Gold Card. Is it working as advertised? How long does the card/reader last? Anything I should be aware of before getting it? Thanks in advance for your help :) |

As the gold card is tied to your real information, make sure that's accurate with EP first. Like, make sure you're able to make bank withdrawals. If you are not it's mailing stuff and printing stuff and getting copies of ID and such. It might only be problematic to secure the gold card before making sure your info is just right.

I have personally had the same gold card for over 7 years now and it is still working fine (still the original batteries as well). At the time it cost 200 ped from the trade terminal, now a days you can pick one up from the website https://account.entropiauniverse.com/account/security/ for 100 ped.
Or if you deposit 5000 ped you can claim one for free. It used to be possible to get a free replacement if the card reader breaks after a few years (not 100% sure if this is still the case). In summary the gold card is well worth it in terms of peace of mind that your account if protected. I would say as soon as the account is worth more than $100 you might as well get one or get one with the peds from your first big loot. It is important to protect the value of your time as well so I would say to anyone who has been around for more than a year or so should probably thinnk about getting one when they can afford it. Hopefully that helps. |

i was thinking about bit higher threshold - 200$ of value, but indeed you are right setting a value threshold sounds as a correct idea

As I can order one for free, I guess I might as well do it! Says it can take up to 8 weeks to arrive, so I suppose I should order it sooner rather than later, haha :) |
